Our current portfolio of regular networking events includes:
Business After 5 (BA5)
Generally held on the last Thursday of each month, these networking functions are held by a host company to which all chamber members and their staff are invited.
Behind the Scenes
Where members can host a smaller function and invite other chamber members to tour a business.
Connect to your Chamber Network
A one-hour presentation which teaches you how to network. A popular session held regularly for you and your staff to enable you to make the most of the networking opportunities that you will come across.
Golf Tournaments
February - Dunedin Golf Tournament held at the Taieri Lakes Golf Club.
September - The Otago Chamber of Commerce Alexandra Blossom Festival Tournament held at the Alexandra Golf Club.
Keep up with Vodafone
A series of demonstrations and updates from the Vodafone team. Held on the last Friday of each month.
Open All Hours
Held after hours in a member retail outlet, a host will introduce their business and invite members to view merchandise, take up discounts, special deals and door prizes on the night.

- An owner of a restaurant 30 minutes from town went to a BA5 and swapped business cards with a number of people. Over the next three months he got eight group bookings averaging 12 people each from the people he met at the BA5.
- A tyre salesman joined the Chamber and began to attend networking functions. The day after his first BA5, someone he met drove in with a Porsche 911 and bought four tyres at $900 each. In total he estimated he sold $5,000 worth of tyres to people he met in the first two months of membership.
- A couple who owned a commercial cleaning firm went to a BA5 and got talking to an old school friend. The friend owned a large student residential complex and by the end of the evening the cleaners had secured the job of cleaning the whole complex at the end of the student year.
- A graffiti removal specialist attended a BA5 wearing his franchise uniform and within 15 minutes of walking in was tapped on the shoulder by a building owner and asked to call in the next day for a job.
