Networking example

  • An owner of a restaurant 30 minutes from town went to a BA5 and swapped business cards with a number of people. Over the next three months he got eight group bookings averaging 12 people each from the people he met at the BA5.

  • A tyre salesman joined the Chamber and began to attend networking functions. The day after his first BA5, someone he met drove in with a Porsche 911 and bought four tyres at $900 each. In total he estimated he sold $5,000 worth of tyres to people he met in the first two months of membership.

  • A couple who owned a commercial cleaning firm went to a BA5 and got talking to an old school friend. The friend owned a large student residential complex and by the end of the evening the cleaners had secured the job of cleaning the whole complex at the end of the student year.

  • A graffiti removal specialist attended a BA5 wearing his franchise uniform and within 15 minutes of walking in was tapped on the shoulder by a building owner and asked to call in the next day for a job.
