IT’S EASY TO SQUANDER TIME AT WORK.
How often do you hear yourself say that you’re too busy, you don’t know where time disappears to, or you don’t have enough hours in the day?
We live in a sped-up world, where ‘busy’ is the buzzword. We can begin the work day full of determination to be productive and efficient, but finish wondering where the day went and feeling compelled to work extra hours to catch up. Technology provides so many opportunities to streamline and improve workflow – yet in many occupations it also becomes a source of distraction and overwhelm. We also inadvertently disrupt our own attention – and that of the people around us – on a regular basis.
And any of us can fall into habits which result in lowered productivity, decreased output, poor communication, workplace stress and overwhelm. This triggers a cycle of feeling frantic yet being unproductive, overworking and under-delivering, feeling stretched and dissatisfied at the same time.
IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY!
An efficiency workshop will help you make sustainable changes to these patterns. Gaining an understanding of your own and your organisation’s productivity can lead to huge benefits in terms of meeting deadlines, improving billable hours, heightening customer/client satisfaction, reaching key performance indicators more easily, and having a team who feel satisfied that they’ve worked effectively and efficiently at the end of each day...without feeling burnt out.
If you’re a solo business-owner, self employed or a freelancer, this workshop is for you too. Working alone brings additional challenges around how to design your work day so as to be fruitful while avoiding distraction pitfalls, and how to be self-directed with projects when there are fewer external deadlines or incentives.
Whatever your situation, you’ll have the opportunity to influence the content we cover in this workshop. Everyone who registers more than a week in advance will receive a brief survey to provide insights about their current successes, frustrations and challenges in terms of managing workload, multiple demands and productivity. This guides preparation for the workshop, ensuring that the session is tailored specifically to the attendees’ needs.

Nicola Brown - Efficiency Coach
Nicola is an efficiency, organisational and executive coach who helps people make the most of their time, energy and resources, so they can take care of themselves while doing the work that matters most to them. She loves helping people move from flustered to flourishing and from overwhelmed to organised. She coaches individuals and organisations all around NZ and the world, supporting and inspiring people to take control of their time so they can do the work they love and live the life they crave. She also encourages people to laugh at this frantic, sped-up world we live in.
When she isn’t coaching and speaking, Nicola is a clinical psychologist in private practice with more than 20 years’ experience. She also does hip-hop and afro fusion dance, and dabbles in standup comedy (although never simultaneously!).
