More About the Awards:
The Otago Chamber of Commerce are proud to be partnering with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), Dunedin Airport, Air New Zealand Cargo and United Machinists to bring you the inaugural Otago Export Awards. The awards will be held every second year, on the alternative year to the Westpac Otago Business Awards.
In 2019, we have three categories as listed below. The winner of each of these categories will vie for the top accolade of the Supreme Award for International Business at the Otago Export Awards. The awards are also aligned with NZTE's New Zealand International Business Awards (NZIBA), which means the category winners will automatically be shortlisted for the NZIBA.
- NZTE Best Emerging International Business
- Dunedin Airport Best Medium/Large International Business
- United Machinists Excellence in Innovation
We also have a fourth category for the Air New Zealand Cargo Unsung Hero in Export which recognises and honours an individual who may or may not be directly involved in exporting, but who over a period of time has contributed significantly to our export sector.
Key Dates for the Awards
- 15 August - Entries to the Awards Closed
- 23 August – Export Forum and Awards Evening
- 9 September – Category winners (excluding the Unsung Hero in Export) to attend Stage 2 judging for the New Zealand International Business Awards (includes pitching in person in Christchurch)
