Do you want to reduce e-waste, support young people and contribute to your CSR goals ... all at once?

Recycle A Device (RAD) is an Aotearoa-based initiative aiming to close the digital divide, by bringing laptops and tech engineering skills to students and young people who need them.
If you are upgrading your IT equipment, RAD accepts donations of secondhand laptops (less than 10 years old, with a charger). From here young, tech-minded people are taught how to refurbish the laptops so they can be used by students, who otherwise wouldn't have access to IT equipment.
There are many good reasons for supporting RAD:
- It is an opportunity to generate positive PR by making a charitable contribution to the community and by embracing social responsibility - RAD are happy to provide a donor badge to be used on your website, along with social media collateral and shout-outs from their pages.
- You can do your bit to divert harmful e-waste from landfill while making progress towards your business's sustainability goals.
- You are encouraging and supporting the development of tech skills and a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) focus within high schools - meaning you are making a positive, tangible and immediate difference in the life of a young person.
- It is an opportunity to join the ranks of previous donors including Spark, the Christchurch City Council, New Zealand Trade & Enterprise, Qrious, Catalyst IT, Verizon and InternetNZ.
RAD is constantly on the hunt for more devices, and they consider no donation too big or small. If you would like to help or would like more information - visit their website, email their team or call Rebecca on 020 4019 6510.
