Second Speaker Announced!
We are excited to announce Phil Ker as one of our key speakers for the Leadership Academy Dunedin. Phil will present " Personal Leadership Development". Phil is a successful tertiary manager and teacher with expertise in curriculum development, assessment of student learning and leadership. He has had a lengthy teaching career including teaching economics, accounting, management and tertiary teaching practice; and has had a career-long interest in leadership and leadership development, and in the professional development of tertiary educators.
This interactive session will cover insights on:
- Developing leadership capability
- Career pathways
- Personal goal setting, vision, career direction
- Finding and using mentors
- The importance of developing personal accountability structures and system.
The Leadership Academy is for people looking at developing their existing leadership experience and who have the potential for holding senior positions and governance roles. The programme assists the participant to be equipped for leadership within their own organisation/business and the community.
The participant, at the completion of the seven experiential and reflective learning sessions, will have a good understanding of what is required to be a significant leader in their own organisation and in the wider business community.
Each of the seven sessions is led by a senior executive from significant Otago based businesses or other organisation. The participant will benefit from the opportunity to interact with the presenter and build an ongoing connection with them.
Each session is two hours long and active engagement in dialogue is expected.

Eight weekly, 2 hour sessions
9.00am to 11.00am Friday mornings
6 April till 25 May 2018
$1,500 plus GST
