Otago Chamber of Commerce Intern
By Otago Chamber of Commerce | Posted: Friday February 2, 2018
We would like you to join us in welcoming our new intern Benedicte Andreassen to our team and network.
The Chamber of Commerce is delighted to welcome Benedicte Andreassen, from Nord University in Norway, as our intern until May 2018. Benedicte will be working on the Chamber’s Marketing and Communications, in particular our use of Social Media for promoting the work of the Chamber and its members. Nicky Aldridge-Masters, our Operations Manager, will be mentoring Benedicte throughout her internship but it will be a team effort. We will be bringing Benedicte along to BA5 events in North Otago and Central Otago so that she has the opportunity to experience all that our region’s business community has to offer. We hope that you will help us roll out the welcome mat and make Benedicte’s NZ internship a memorable experience.
We asked Benedicte to provide a little bit of information about herself:
My name is Benedicte Andreassen, and I am the new Chamber of Commerce intern. This is my first time in New Zealand, and I am very excited to experience the country as well as to get to know the Chamber and their members. I am from Norway, from a small island in the north. Fish is an important resource for Norway, and my family have for generations harvested from this resource. Marketing has always interested me as I was involved early in the sales and export of our products. In June I will graduate with a bachelor in International Marketing. The internship is a part of my study, and I am very thankful to be a part of the Otago Chamber of Commerce. It is a great opportunity for me to learn about a new business, and I think my knowledge in marketing will bring something positive to the Chamber.
