2017 Year in Review

A big thank you on behalf of all the staff and board to all our members for their ongoing support of our work here at the Chamber.
We have had another great year with so many positives it’s hard to put into such a small amount of space for you to all read. On reflection it’s great to be part of such a vibrant business community where people are actively making a difference to the city, its prosperity and future direction. Some of the snapshots though are remarkable. Membership is growing for the first time since 2007, we hold training session on average every 2nd working day, we advocate on behalf of members , business and the community across 5 councils and have held networking events on every 3rd working day. We have had over 3000 people attend official Chamber events and probably equal numbers at events we have supported or facilitated. We have given close to $20000.00 in matched funding for business development and support through the RBP programme with nearly 200 business being engaged in the programme in some manner throughout the region
Next year we are hoping to do even more and with your support and ongoing commitment I know that we will continue to delivery on the promises made.
I hope everyone gets time to relax and hit the new year refreshed, revived and ready for what I’m sure will be another year of prosperity for business, the city and our community.
