Bayfield Team Claims Second Spot At Young Enterprise Schemes National Finals

At the end of 2020 the national finals for the Young Enterprise Scheme were held in Wellington and the Otago representatives more than held their own.
The 2020 Otago YES programme was a huge success. Our regional winners, Abalro from Bayfield High, competed in the National Finals and were awarded the status of runners up in the competition. Read more about the team in the ODT's article.
Young Enterprise Scheme (read more here) is a vital programme for our future business owners, innovators and startups. It gives students what can often be their first real taste of owning, running and managing a team of people to create products and productivity.
We are excited to be gearing up for another awesome year with regional young entrepreneurs developing new concepts for businesses. Julie Cheyne, herself a Young Enterprise alumni, will be running the 2021 programme for the Otago Chamber of Commerce.
