The Clothing Bin Art Project

By Nicky Aldridge-Masters | Posted: Monday December 7, 2020

Creating Still Life Art from Discarded Clothing Bin Articles is the latest Dunedin Dream Brokerage Pop Up Exhibition in the Dunedin CBD

The Otago Chamber of Commerce is proud to be actively involved with the Dunedin Dream Brokerage, a programme that brings vacant properties to life with engaging art projects.

This year has presented a number of challenges for our local artists and a number of Dunedin Dream Brokerage projects have been put on hold, until now!  Pop along to the old Scottish Shop site at 17 George St to meet Nicola Hansby and Anna Perry the artists behind this interesting exhibition.  See how discarded objects can be transformed into still life art objects. Admire the work of the artists or take the opportunity to try your hand at doing your own still life art work.

The project runs from 4th-15th December from 12-4pm Daily.  Free workshops are available as part of the exhibition so that you can learn some tips on still life painting and have a go at painting or drawing one of the objects in the exhibition.  The next workshop is Saturday 12th December 12-1:30pm.  Contact Nicola if you are interested in attending 027 359 0513.
