Raise your brand profile at the Chamber's newest networking event, The Market, Otago Business Expo, in partnership with Otago Polytechnic.
The Market will provide a unique opportunity for like minded business people to connect with other businesses over drinks and nibbles and be inspired by our guest speaker.
If you enjoy our BA5s you will love this event. The Market is our latest networking event which includes a market like set up of businesses showing their products/services. On top of this you will be able to enjoy drinks and nibbles whilst you catch up with what is happening in businesses around you. The Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with the Otago Polytechnic and the Otago Daily Times to put on this great new event.
Tuesday 17 October
From 4.30pm - 7.00pm
Otago Polytechnic, Forth Street, Dunedin
We are delighted to say we have confirmed Gill Brown, Assistant Prison Direct Industries, Rehab and Learning, OCF as our guest speaker for this event.
Gill started her career in the Tourism field but soon moved into the area of training. After achieving a Diploma of Tertiary Teaching and a Bachelor of Adult and Vocational Education she worked in a large male secondary school for 10 years. During her time there she identified that there was reward in assisting those young men who fell through the cracks leading her to apply for and be successful in her first role with the Department of Corrections. Gill started out as a Programme Facilitator, she has held previous roles of Principal Facilitator for Otago and Southland and Manager Case Management (Southern), and has been in her current role since July 2015.
This role is a cohesion between the moving parts of the prison with a specific focus in the increased engagement of the prisoners in OCF's care.
