This town-gown club has been meeting since 1923. Currently there are around 200 members and many are at that stage of life where they can afford a lunch time on Fridays between 12.00 and 2.00pm.
Home base is the Mercure Hotel by The Botanic Garden. Speakers are invited each week from both the University and the business world to address members. There are no attendance requirements or need to “book” for the weekly lunches and membership fees are modest.
