Accelerated business growth programme A programme designed to combine a practical business plan and enhance holistic business skills – to produce a direct increase in turnover, staffing and most importantly, profit. The aim of the programme is to raise your business vision well beyond your previous “comfort zones”. Business and strategic planning Training that focuses on how to work on the business, instead of in it. Goal-setting, vision, growth, SWOT analysis, operational and action plans included. Community Development Jointly funded by the Otago Community Trust, a series of workshops offer practical help for not for profit organisations in business training and development; governance issues; how to prepare for applying for funding and grants; and financial obligations. These workshops are available in Dunedin and throughout the region. Computer training Microsoft Office With our partner QuaySkills, we can arrange one-on-one or group computer training for you or your staff. These can be full or half day courses and are available for a range of levels and experience and presented by certified tutors. Programmes include excel, word, outlook, access, publisher, powerpoint, project and file management.
MYOB Offering beginners, intermediate, advanced and payroll computer training on the Mind Your Own Business accounting software package, presented by a MYOB certified tutor.
QuickBooks Offering beginners, intermediate and advanced computer training on the QuickBooks accounting software package. Finance Workshops to help you understand different financial management tools and balance the demands of growing a profitable business. Learn how to reduce the risk of bad debt in your business. In house training Chamber in-house training is locally sourced, locally delivered and very cost effective. We can match your organisation with the presenter who has the knowledge and experience to deliver the training you are looking for. We can design the content to fit the outcomes you want to achieve. KiwiHost We are the franchise holders for KiwiHost for Coastal Otago, including Oamaru, Dunedin, Balclutha and the Dunedin hinterland. Key Service Skills For staff who have recently entered customer service positions and who have not attended any other customer service training. Also for mature people, who, whilst involved in customer service have not been aware of professional customer service concepts.
Advanced Customer Service Skills For staff who have previously completed KiwiHost Key Service Skills or some other introductory customer service training and have at least one years experience in a customer service role.
Professional Telephone Skills For telephonists, receptionists, frontline service providers, support staff, supervisors, team leaders, administration, sales teams.
Leadership training Workshops for business owners, team leaders, 2IC’s or managers who are aiming to achieve a high performing work team. Lean manufacturing This programme will provide you with an insight into lean methods and tools. You will take away simple strategies which you can deploy immediately to achieve quick wins within your business. Marketing Workshops to help with the different stages and functions of promoting your business and brand positively. A range of workshops, from planning and research, through to advertising, communications and online tools. Sales Workshops to give participants practical tips that will help them meet and exceed targets and deliver sales results.
