 Regional Business Partner (Otago)
– a support network to help Otago businesses develop, grow and innovate
New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) and the Ministry of Science and Innovation (MSI) have appointed the Otago Chamber of Commerce and Dunedin City Council's Economic Development Unit to their new network of 14 Regional Business Partners. The partners will work to support business growth and innovation in their regions.

This regional partner network has been established by NZTE to improve the management capabilities and performance of small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
In conjunction with other programmes, NZTE has developed a Capability Development Voucher Scheme to be administered by the new Regional Partner Network.
Eligible SMEs can now access discounted business training through a new voucher system and receive partial subsidy for accessing qualifying management capability building services such as training workshops, courses and/or coaching. Businesses can be eligible for up to a 50% discount voucher for training options of their choice.
The regional partner network also incorporates the FRST TechNZ programme. This programme can assist companies with early stage research and development projects. In addition, there are a variety of funding options on offer to support local businesses. |

So what can the Chamber offer you under this RPN programme
Fully Funded Assessments Fully funded assessments are available for your business from the Chamber. The assessment will provide an opportunity for businesses to identify options for development and growth. Some of these options can be accessed using Capability Development Vouchers. Capability Development Vouchers Capability Development Vouchers which we can issue to qualifying businesses once an assessment is done for you. These vouchers allow you access to a partial subsidy of up to 50% on any approved training workshop, course and/or coaching offered by a training organisation of your choice.
Approved Training Provider The Chamber is pleased to have become an approved provider of training in the Otago region under this new Partnership Network and is ready to assist you with your training needs. We currently boast a training portfolio of over 170 different course titles but can also put together training courses and programmes that fit your individual requirements.
